Working Student (f/m/x) in Product Development

With our innovative technology, we produce an innovative and environmentally friendly biomaterial from plant-based residues from the agricultural industry – bio-based, plastic-free, and compostable. A material that leaves no harmful traces behind. We want to replace as much plastic as possible, and that's where you come in.

As a Working Student (f/m/x) in Product Development, you will support us in making our materials suitable for a wide range of applications in order to make the greatest possible contribution to solving global plastic pollution! This role offers a great opportunity to gain operational experience at the interface between material science, process and product development. It makes a first-hand contribution in solving global plastic pollution, establishing traceless as the market leader for compostable plastic replacement materials. Your tasks will include:

• Active support of the Product Development group
• Carry out, document, evaluate and analyze relevant testing data across all the development stages of our materials or your own experiments
• Run and optimize lab- as well as pilot-scale polymer-conversion processes (injection moulding, film extrusion, etc.)
• Take active part within our projects for the technical fine-tuning of our materials towards real-life, impactful applications
• Be part of a diverse and open team and expand your operational experience

Tasks will be carried out on-site at our laboratories and workshop located at our headquarters in southern Hamburg.

• You have a hands-on mentality, a practical mind-set and are not afraid to leave your comfort zone
• Ideally, you are studying material science, polymer science, chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, (bio)process engineering, or a comparable technical field of engineering
• You have (basic) knowledge of polymer processing and testing techniques
• You are self-organized, conscientious, reliable and responsible
• You are innovative, open-minded, a team player and have a sense of humour
• You are available immediately
• You have good German and English skills (spoken and written)
• You are interested in getting involved in the varied day-to-day work of a startup
